Look of the Day..

Untitled #1136

Peak of the Week. Rihanna wows in Helmut Lang and wins even the most demanding styling audience.

She is known both for her successful and the unfortunate fashion moments, but with looks like this, Rihanna manages to stand out and win the most demanding fashionista.  The singer, who is in New York, visited the hot spot of the city, the restaurant Butter, with a simple but quirky jersey dress, with the signature of Helmut Lang. The dress, in bright fuchsia color, which RiRi combined with intriguing accessories such as the white Christian Louboutin heels, but also with the black and white striped Balmain clutch.

The sporty- chic look of the superstar hugs impeccably her killer curves while the high slit skirt of the maxi dress perfectly highighted her legs, given the necessary sexy twist, in a dress, otherwise simple. As sexy, and simple as well as chic , with that appearance perfectly justified the title of fashion icon, she was bestowed, not long ago, by the Association of American Designers.

Fashion News: Primark window mannequin criticised for protruding ribs.

Untitled #1128

Another big company used for tits windows displays mannequins that highlight a different dietary pattern, which only healthy we can not characterize it. The reason for the-famous-Primark, which did not hesitate to decorate their windows with mannequins whose rib bones were clearly visible.

The event got magnified when an indignant client staged in her Twitter account a picture of one of these dolls, commenting:

“Dear Primark, is it really necessary that these new mannequins have protruding ribs? She continued: “I’d just like to see mannequins in all different shapes and sizes in all stores rather than young girls thinking this is the only way to be.”

Primark removed from the windows displays the mannequins, but, once again, raised questions in relation to food standards that the world of fashion promotes, to young girls and women. Why to produced, at first place these dolls? Why the retail companies themselves want to show their merchandise at such thin/anorexic physical standards.

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention,” Primark tweeted. “We’ll speak to our team tomorrow. …  “We are currently changing our window displays. The mannequin you describe will not be used in this way again,” the brand.

The issue is not unprecedented-not too long ago a La Perla boutique used a similar doll, which also caused controversy.

The famous lingerie brand reacted immediately when after receiving complaints from customers for a extremely thin mannequin in their window displaysof their boutique in Soho, New York.

The mannequin was too thin, with its ribs to protrude audible. One of their customers complained strongly about the standard that La Perla represent with this choice, and the response was immediate

“The mannequin photographed has been removed from the store and will not be used again by any La Perla boutique,” the label responded
